under view > show or hide on can show or hide the message view and also ue the "v" shortcut for it.

it would be nice if the "V" shortcut would show or hide the listing of the mails in the current mail box.

i guess that this would imply being able to show a gray area or disable the hiding of both the message and the mail box.

in the standard layout, this would enable a fast switch between a vertical full screen of the message and of the messages list.
